Passerines
Here I sit in my easy chair, with the window open, photographing little birds that are just outside. There is a feeder just off to the left in each image. It is kept packed with fat sunflower seeds and these birds know the one rule of the game: If they want the best food around (and they do), then they have to tolerate a little of me at fairly close range. The more I shoot the more they get accustomed to it. But I cannot claim that they like it at all. On one of these days a Chickadee flew through the open window and was so startled by being inside the house that it lost its bearings completely. I thought if we did not pay attention to it that it might calm down, but it did not. We carefully coaxed it over to the opening and out.
